Bringing an existing successful brand closer to category codes

We refreshed the Archivist abbey beer brand for Lidl, a brand we originally created several years ago. As the market evolved, the identity needed to be updated to remain relevant and competitive.

 

The redesign focused on strengthening and harmonizing the brand while bringing it closer to established category codes. A bold black wordmark on a warm yellow background, paired with metallic colour cues for each variant, creates stronger shelf visibility and improves range recognition.

 

The iconic vault shape and monk illustration were simplified and reduced to place greater emphasis on the brand itself.
